Sound Nightclub - Real Time Models

As an introduction to real-time models for 3d visuals, an extensive study was undertaken for a permanent projection mapping project at Sound Nightclub in Los Angeles. Using the modular architectural panels as the canvas boundary, multiple models and tracer patterns were created for use with digital lighting and simple effects like gradient ramps. Many patterns were simply exploratory and others stemmed from studies in continuous surface patterns like those of Erwin Hauer.
